Letting a Man Into Your Life Again

Did you ever tell your friends how painful your past relationships were? Of course you were glad your last relationship was finally over. You wouldn't want to go back to such a draining relationship right? Maybe you even promised yourself that you're never going to fall in love ever again. After all, who'd want to go through that roller coaster ride again? Now that you have finally broken free, you'd want to remain that way for a very long time. Or do you?

Even if you're successful and living a wonderful life, deep down you still feel a void that needs to be filled. Nobody really wants to be alone, and you're probably hoping that you'll find a good man who's in for the long haul.

Here's a few reminders to unafraid of letting a man come into your life again.

Reminder #1: Don't let the past haunt you and enjoy the present.

Living in the past will never work to your advantage. When you meet someone new, don't compare him with the past jerks that you've dated. Don't worry that he might not like you or find you attractive - he asked you out, didn't he? If you entertain all those negative emotions, you're bound to miss out on the fun.

So get those worries out of your head - they show. He might think that he's boring you because you're not enjoying the moment.

TIP #2: Don't jump into conclusions.

Going out on a few dates doesn't mean that you're officially a couple. You may think that because you enjoy each other's company, he's committed to you. But the truth is, you're just dating and getting to know each other. What if he doesn't call and spend as much time with you as you want? Do you call him up and demand an explanation? If you do that, he'll see you as clingy and needy - traits of a woman that he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life with.

TIP #3: Learn what it takes to meet and attract the right man.

Contrary to your past experiences, meeting and attracting the right man isn't hard to do. Just be as fun as you really are and never cease to be interesting. Be independent and stop demanding for attention that he's not yet willing to give. When you're needy and clingy you can be sure that he'll run as far from you as possible.

Don't relive the past, but learn from it. You may have dated bad men before, but there's a lot of good men out there who's just waiting for the right woman to come. The woman who'll make them feel complete could be you.
