One thing to keep in mind is not to appear too confident so that you are being arrogant or cocky, you want to assure the girl that you have good self-esteem, but you do not want to make her feel uncomfortable with your presence.
If you are having trouble talking to girls, try practicing what you are going to say to her before you even approach her. Take time to build up your nerve and be sure that you have a topic you want to discuss, don't just approach her and then have nothing to say, try making sure that you have something interesting to talk about when you go to approach her.
