The Red personality forms the backbone of society because of their traditional beliefs and values. Some of the words that describe reds are traditionalist, sensible, in control, dependable, visionary, demanding, insensitive and competitive.
A Red personality needs to feel like the most important person in a room. They get things done. Reds function best in environments and relationships where they know what happens at all times and they control what happens.
The aggressive personality of Reds must control the situation. A Red will resist or attack if they feel you trying to take over.
As a visionary, Reds always look to the future and how they can succeed. Reds perform much better when building and promoting ideas and businesses than when building relationships. Winning is everything to a Red. Their strong personalities thrive on competition. They see themselves as survivalists.
Reds work hard and the job must be completed before they take time off to play. Reds work hard and play hard. Because of their loyalty, dependability and determination, they make great network marketers. They are the ones you would want to plan an event for your team.
Reds tend to suffer from low self-esteem. Because of this, Reds need to hold prestigious job titles. In today's economy with companies laying off, a Red would sufferer profoundly if suddenly unemployed. Their need to provide for their families drives Reds to succeed. Deep depression and frustration would prevail if a Red could not take care of their family due to unemployment.
Reds must be right. They are competitive and bold, with a taxing and bossy personality. Reds speak their minds, They are stubborn, determined and always "know" that they are right.
A healthy Red is the lifeblood of society. These production machines make great team leaders because they enjoy a challenge with their highly competitive spirit. Winning means everything to a Red.
A Red personality likes a car with status, but not too flashy. Cadillacs, BMW's and Mercedes with conservative colors attract Reds. Reds will select clothes of status, dressing in conservative colors. Red professions include: police, attorney, politics, military, executive and business owners. Famous personalities who appear to be Reds include Dr. Billy Graham and Hillary Clinton.
When contacting a Red, they will give you a short answer. Reds love to talk to you as long as they control the conversation. The Reds office reflects their control. You will not see many family pictures, but lots of plaques to boost their big ego. The office will be super organized.
Many times you can recognize a Red by the message on their answering machine, it will be short and to the point. Once you break the brick wall with a Red, you will find them the easiest to deal with. They make decisions quickly, take charge and become the leader. You can gain trust with a Red by making them feel like they control the situation.
When negotiating with a Red:
1. Give a good offer
2. Minimize risks
3. Give options
Extrovert Reds like to keep things upbeat and lively, making them appear in control. If you want to win, either join them or get out of the way. Extrovert Reds are very straightforward and expect simple answers to their questions. If they ask you what kind of car you drive, they want the make and model. They do not want to know all the extras it has or how good a gas mileage you get.
Introvert Reds are reserved, quiet, extremely reliable and serious people. To these Reds, life is what you see and that is all. These very practical Reds usually prefer to work alone. Of all the personality types, introvert Reds probably work the hardest, while demonstrating patience and thoroughness.
In summing up the Reds, they are very hard workers, realists, very logical and sensible. They come across as direct and honest with opinions, are goal oriented and highly disciplined. They demonstrate confidence and thrive in leadership positions.
