What Do Cheating Women Really Want?
It can be hard to understand adulterous behaviors of married cheating women. Nowadays when a woman marries, she likely already enjoys a lifestyle that works for her. Women are highly educated, manage their own money, their own careers, and more. As a result, women are not as dependent on their husbands to maintain a comfortable lifestyle.
In fact, women see themselves as equally able as men in almost every domain. Consequently, women are doing it all.
As a culture, we still believe that women dream of a married life, and it"s true. While women are doing as much as men, a woman still fantasizes about her wedding day in a glowing gown, married life, a husband, and having children.
For centuries, marriage and family life has been defined as a woman"s purpose. Although times have changed, women can"t just shake off centuries of expectations of marriage and family.
The fantasy of marriage, then, still circles in the minds of women. A woman still believes that marriage and children signify success. Women still want the Y2K prince charming, not as her rescuer, but as her partner. Desiring the fairytale still holds true for women.
Even with all the independence women have gained, women want to feel taken care of by their husbands. She still wants to feel attractive, sexy, desired, and needed. She wants to have a strong, trust-worthy husband to lean on without compromising the freedom, money, and independence that she"s earned and deserves.
Consequently, when the "reality" of marriage sinks in, the fantasy fades, and day to day life and troubles begin to surface, it"s just as easy for women to seek outside comfort as it is for a man. Knowing that women can create the life they want, women feel that they don"t have to tolerate an unsupportive marriage, and become married cheating women.
What turns her into a cheating wife?
A woman easily becomes depleted with all the hats she wears in life. When she encounters stress, she needs care, love, and attention from her husband to re-fuel. While women are constantly multi-tasking, they re-charge by having a partner that listens, offers emotional support, and that lets her talk it out. Talking, without interruption, is her fuel.
Ask your wife, and she"ll probably agree that women feel exhausted from careers, motherhood, and trying to be a good wife. Many times, husbands don"t recognize their wife"s signs of depletion. Men offer quick-fix solutions when women feel exhausted, instead of the quiet, caring, supportive ear she really needs. Consequently, with all the giving women constantly do, her basic needs aren"t being met by her husband.
Dr. John Gray says it so well. According to Dr. Gray, author of Men are from Mars Women are from Venus, women"s primary needs in a relationship are: Care, Understanding, Respect, Devotion, Validation, and Reassurance.
Ask yourself, how much time do you devote to meeting Dr. Gray"s primary needs for your wife? With all women do, wives are looking for support, caring attention, validation, and peace.
But, she"s not the cheating kind, right?
When husbands don"t meet their wife"s basic needs, she"ll get her needs met elsewhere. Many times it"s her sister, mother, or friend she turns to. In some cases, however, she"ll encounter a male friend that"s able to deliver the specific basic needs that her husband has not met. Add arguing, lack of intimacy, other stressors, and an unavailable husband to the mix, and you"ve got the recipe for married cheating women.
In most cases, a cheating wife"s intention is to feel cared for and loved. Married cheating women use infidelity as a remedy. Yet, without a doubt, affairs almost always create great disharmony for everyone involved.
