Marriage Becoming Sexless Before Your Eyes
Is your marriage becoming sexless before your eyes? A sexless marriage doesn't happen over night the problems behind it can take a long time to become noticeable. Many people seem to think that if a marriage is sexless you get zero sex, this isn't the case at all, if you're only having sex with your partner 10 times a year or less then you are in a sexless relationship. The lack of sex has a large impact on a relationship and if left unresolved can easily end in divorce.
Living in a sexless marriage may also give rise to underlying problems, the lack of sex may cause arguments about the smallest of problems, and this is all due to stress and sexual frustration. Although a marriage isn't based on sex it is very surprising how, when sex is no longer available people will find fault with every little thing.
One of the worst problems is that when one partner has gone off sex, the other partner stops talking to them or showing any signs of affection towards them, this only makes matters a lot worse. The partner who didn't want sex now feels unwanted and unloved, this situation just adds more fuel to the fire.
Can you notice your marriage becoming sexless? This depends on how healthy your sex life is (was), if you have sex every day and all of a sudden it goes to every two days, I wouldn't say that this was anything to worry about, but if you went from once a day to once every week and then once every two weeks, these are definitely warning signs and you should find out why as soon as possible.
If you and your partner don't start to discuss the problems which are causing the lack of sex in your marriage, you will first start to resent them and then start to resent the relationship.
Finding the underlying problem or problems make take some time but when you find them you may find that the reason is something as simple as you having too many obligations to others and not making enough time for your partner. But you must find the cause of the problem otherwise you will go around in circles for weeks and still not get anywhere towards solving it.
