How to Give Her the Day Off From Housework and the Kids That She ll Never Forget!
What time does your working day start? Maybe nine o'clock in the morning and finishing at five, while your other half stays home to look after the kids plus does all the house duties?
It's a familiar picture right across Australia, but if you have ever swapped roles for the day you'll know just how tiring staying at home can be. So why not plan a wonderful surprise for your wife or partner and give her the day off while you take the strain? If you do it right you can really hit the G spot - where the G stands for gifts!
With a little thought you can do this without telling her in advance. That way the first she will know of your surprise is when you actually spring it on her! But how do you plan something that she will never forget?
You have two main choices here - you can either plan a relaxing day at home with a few pre-planned treats in store, or you can give her the freedom to do something completely different. The choice you make will depend on what your wife likes to do, so think about what she enjoys and perhaps try to build in something she doesn't get to do very often, as she will love this and thank you for it later!
If you want to go for the first option, you could surprise her with breakfast in bed before revealing some of the treats you have in store. For example, why not treat her to a gift basket for women that is packed with bath time products such as vanilla bubble bath gel and sweet bath balls? Once she is enjoying a peaceful soak, you can give her a foot fantasy pedicure set to indulge in afterwards. If you feel confident enough you could even offer to perform a pedicure yourself!
The second option is to give her a day out of the house to do something completely different. Why not ask a relative to mind the kids while the two of you go and take part in a day of sailing together, test your skills at a cooking workshop or even try a camel ride at sunset! There are plenty of romantic gifts that will truly take her breath away and make it a day to remember, as well as putting the spark well and truly back into your marriage.
As you can see there are plenty of ways to plan a surprise and give your partner the day off; the choices are almost endless depending on how much you want to spend and what type of surprise you want to spring.
A trip to a day spa is another great idea and you can plan for her to go alone or join her if you wish. That way you get to enjoy the fruits of your secretive planning as well!
The main thing to remember is you are the person who will know her best. If you are stuck for ideas have a think about the things you have done together in the past, and think about her hobbies as well. This should give you plenty of ideas for planning the surprise day off she deserves.
