Your guys promised to stand by your side on your wedding day. They threw you a bachelor party you won"t forget. When do you give them their groomsmen gifts?
Most guys I"ve talked to about this will make presentations of groomsmen gifts at the rehearsal dinner which is usually a day or two before the actual wedding. You can stand up and talk a bit and voice your appreciation to your guys or get them in a group by themselves. Tell them how much you appreciate that they have been there for you over the years and now for your wedding.
Or if you can arrange a "just guys" function in the weeks before the wedding (like going out for golfing, bowling, to your favorite bar, wherever you like to hang out with the boys), you can pass out the boot then.
Some guys I know want to make sure everything goes well and all the groomsmen do their appointed jobs on the big day. Then, after the honeymoon and when the bride and groom have settled in a little, the groom will give out the groomsmen gifts one-on-one the next time he sees each of his guy friends. If there is an out-of-town buddy, you might want to make sure he gets his gift early or just ship it off to him via UPS.
There are no set rules. Each wedding is unique and you can do what you what when you want to. Just plan ahead a little to save yourself some stress. Tell your bride-to-be your plans so she knows you"ve thought it all out. Give yourself two months before your wedding date to select and order your gifts. That"s all there is to it.
