You will need to have one of the following identifications. Valid drivers license, state identification card, U.S. passport, military identification card or a valid Illinois department of public aid card.
If you do not have a government issued picture identification card then you must have two of the following. Birth certificate, valid U.S. resident card, U.S. naturalization card, valid foreign passport, batismal record that shows your date of birth, A life insurance policy, which has been in effect for one year the applicant's date of birth must appear on the document.
Both the bride and the groom must appear in person when applying for marriage license.
The fees will vary from $15.00 to $30.00 and is to be paid by cash only.
You do not have to take any blood tests in the state of Illinois.
If you are between the age of 16-17 then you must supply the following. Sworn consent from each parent, each legal guardian or a judge - in person - before the county clerk at the time of application. Those giving consent must provide proper identification.
First cousins can marry as long as they are over the age of 50.
Marriage license is valid for sixty days and must be used in Illinois only.
