Love, Dreams and the Pitter Patter of Your Heart
There is one question to ask: are you playing to win or playing not to lose? One has to wonder too if all the expensive frills and flamboyancies of weddings are a cover up or an approach to pacify parents and family. In our zeal to seek love, relationships and marriage often times we settle because time is passing us by and maybe this is as good as it gets.
Romantic songs and poems have instilled a passion for love so dreadfully intense that we believe we should always hear the sounds of our hearts going pitter patter and then for conversion to the pitter patter of tiny feet. Movies, books and theatre depict our dreams but the bright eyes of couples in love materialize in the homes being filled and the children filling kindergarten.
Restaurants have depended on couples to sit at their tables in quiet candle light with soft music playing and white table cloths adding substance to the choices being made. I love romance and have been writing romantic poems for years occasionally writing for others too as we cannot all put into words what our minds are trying to say.
The movie Love Actually had a star filled cast of dreamboats including Colin Firth and gorgeous talented Laura Linney, comedian Rowan Atkinson, Irish hunk Liam Neeson, classic actress Emma Thompson to name a few and it was an interesting smorgasbord of stories that all came together through friendships depicting love in various stages and wraps.
Walk over to the nearest mirror or take out the one in your handbag and say: I love you with all my heart and I know that by loving you I will love another. If you can hear your own heart go pitter patter then with dreams of love you will listen to the heart of another and feel the agonizing ache of true love.
