3 Ways to Use the Law of Attraction to Attract the Ideal Relationship
Most people have difficulty with applying the LOA because of a basic misunderstanding about how it works and what is happening when they try and use it. The general misconception is that the LOA is about attracting things, it's not, it is about attracting people, then the people provide the things, jobs, gifts, "checks in the mail" etc.
So the great news is this, attracting a person using the LOA is in fact the easiest thing to do, however, attracting a specific person, for a specific purpose, ie, falling in love with us, is a completely different thing.

Believe Your Reality
So basically the LOA works like this, when we focus our intention on a particular thing, (forgetting relationships for now), lets say a great job, first of all we are creating a structure of cells in our brain for that new reality. The purpose of this neural structure is to enable us to believe the new reality.
Within quantum physics there exists a theory called the theory of super position and the collapse of the wave function, this basically means that each sub atomic particle exists in more than one location at the same time and they snap to a single location when we observe them in order to form the reality that we believe, and every person is doing this at every moment.
So we create new beliefs in order to collapse reality, but we also believe in order to create a mental vibration that affects the way other people collapse reality, collapsing their reality in our favour, and that connection with other people is the LOA in a nutshell.
Loose Preconceived Ideas
So what does this mean for your situation? The first thing is this, we cannot force our reality on another person, there must exist a mental vibration that corresponds to our own, "like attracts like", so no matter how firm your belief is that you want a specific person, if that person doesn't match that vibration, there will be no attraction, sorry for the bad news.
The LOA is not magic, it has strong and increasing scientific backing, and it fits perfectly with our free will, and the wonderful new is this, you can attract the perfect person, and make the perfect connection, but you must lose all preconceived ideas about who it is and how it will be.
Let me give you an example, this is the story of someone I know personally. He and his wife separated some time ago, and recently became divorced. When he learned of the LOA, he thought he could use it to affect and improve their relationship, which certainly can be true, but he found no corresponding mental vibration in his wife and nothing happened, she left, wanted a divorce and he was confused.
After some time he began dating, and soon decided to try and use the LOA to attract a great, healthy relationship, and he set his intention on it every day. One day he was browsing the news paper, and he spotted a small advert for a singles breakfast, happening the next morning, something in him said go, so he did.
The next morning he set his intention again on meeting the right person, when he got to the breakfast, he looked across the room and the first person he made eye contact with was a lady, she walked over, and they started talking. Turns out that she was also making intentions about meeting the right person using the LOA.
So their corresponding vibrations were attracted to one another, and the connection was made, they have been together 8 months and I have never seen my friend so happy in a relationship.
The main point is this, it took a relationship disaster for him to drop his preconceived ideas about what he wanted, and just open up to make the perfect connection with the LOA.
Use Inspired Action
My advice to you would be, open up, place your intention on a good healthy relationship, not a specific person, take appropriate action as your sub conscious inspires you, and be ready to accept something outside of your current understanding.
The thing I find most exciting about the LOA is that you can never be quite certain exactly how something will manifest, because it always involves the somewhat unpredictable nature of other human beings, and that is a gift.
