Who is Your Best Friend?

What is your friend lifespan? You might ask what a friend lifespan is? It is how long you remain in friendship with someone until you drift way from each other for whatever reason. Some people remain friends for a lifetime, but some do drift apart. You are no longer friends with your high school friend. You may not even remember the friend you met during your internship. As we grow older, we move from one place to another, we change colleges, work places and we keep meeting new people replenishing those we leave behind. So who is your best friend? Is your best friend from high school with whom you shared your best kept secrets, still your best friend?

Does Time Really Fly? Or, Do We Let it Slip Through Our Hands?

I wish Jerry Nachman were still around. He passed away in January 2004 at the young age of 57 from gall bladder cancer. I first met Jerry in my senior year of high school. I was 17 and was working for the local daily paper as a photographer. I also swept the floors of the type composing room every night. Type was made 'hot' back then from poured lead which meant I was pushing dirty, lead shavings around a very large room. Jerry had just graduated from Youngstown State University and had joined the staff at the East Liverpool Review as a reporter. He seemed much older to me but the fact was we were only separated by 3 or 4 years.

Easy Ways to Make Friends With a Stranger

Making friends with people we just met is not easy for many of us. For those of us who have difficulty making friends with strangers we often find ourselves feeling uncomfortable and uncertain about making casual conversation when we meet someone new. Some of us think we need to say something brilliant and interesting to attract others into a friendship with us and as a result we often place unnecessary pressure on ourselves which in turn can discourage us from attempting to make new friends. Good impressions are important when meeting someone new. The job interview is an example of the importance of making a good impression.

To Find My Friend, I Had to Find a Brand New Way to Look at the Internet!

Not too long ago, I wanted to find my friend and I wanted to do it online and I wanted to do it without any great fanfare. Seemed reasonable to me. What I didn't realize at that time, though, was that there are plenty of sites out there that are more than happy to tell me that they are free in their zeal to help me find my friend but that when it comes down to it, they are hardly free at all. I went to the net with all the hope in the world that I could find my old friend. I was lured through all the typical internet marketing banners and text links as to which site would do the best job..

Test of Friendship

Friends are pillars in life that help you go on and further. Sometimes it feels like the best days with friends will never end. In college or school we meet them everyday. In fact we look forward to meeting them everyday and that's what keeps us going. For some it is very difficult to make friends because they are conservative and introverts. They would never take the first step of talking and hence take a very long time to talk to others. On the other hand we have jabbers who can talk all day therefore welcome more people to meet them hence forming bigger groups. Friendship gets deeper as we get older.
