3 Steps How to Come to Grips With Losing Your Partner to Divorce

Losing one you love to divorce is not easy indeed. There is much sorrow involved in losing the love of your life. Here are 3 heartfelt steps you can take to be good to your soul.

Step 1 See things from your partner's side.

In the process of divorce or in the coming years take the time to take them out for a coffee and ask him/her how they are really feeling now. When they relax, tell them that the next question isn't in any way trying to get them back, but you need to ask them.

Then ask them, how did you feel in our marriage when things went bad? Tell me your side honestly please?

Don't interrupt them, or argue, or try and make amends just listen.

Take what they had to say and meditate on it. Has it got anything for you? Now can you understand them? Can you blame them honestly now for wanting to end it?

Step 2 Find forgiveness in your heart

You might not of heard it before, so let me just say it here. The person who hasn't forgiven is the one that suffers the most. Often the people that have hurt us, don't really know to what extent that they did.

Now that you know things from your ex partners side, does that give you a greater insight into how to forgive them? Do you understand that they really wanted to leave and give up?

Seek God or your higher source and find the place to forgive them.

Step 3 Let them go in your mind...hand them over to God

It took me 6 years to let go of my wife. I was so convinced God was going to bring her back to me. I only gave up when she re- married.

Since then I have given her to God and have found much peace.
