After much drudgery and isolation, Japanese wives have been duly rewarded by Japan's government. The new law allows wife to get half the amount of her husband's pension. At the same time, it has created a panic among the husbands, who have been working long hours in offices and coming homes late, where their wives were waiting for them. While some dub this action of government as the rational response to wife's hard work and loneliness, there are many who claim that corporate culture in Japan has taken toll of married life of men.
