The Future Of Darts

Mark Webster is the current BDO champion and is undoubtedly a superb player. Then there is Gary Anderson who played so well at the Grand Slam Of Darts (taking Taylor to the limit in the semi-final). These two great players should be gracing the Premier League but while we continue to have two tours, governing bodies and world championships, darts can never reach it's full potential Following an acrimonious split in 1992 we now have the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They both run separate tours and world championships with players having the option of which tour to play on.

Game of Cornhole

The goal of therapy after a mild stroke or head injury is to return to as close an activity level as is possible. The challenge to professionals has been to find a way to do this that is practical and enjoyable so that patients will commit to their therapy more readily. Many therapists have begun to use video games and backyard games to achieve this. An example of this is the game of cornhole. The game of cornhole is very basic and easy to learn. A heartbeat to learn and a lifetime of fun to enjoy. This is a game that has many practical uses. There are even some therapy professionals that recommend this game for elderly patients.

Creating a FAN-tastic Game Room

Regardless of what sport, team, or brand you are loyal to, there's nothing like a fanatically detailed, thematic environment to embrace your position. Personally, I'm into Navy memorabilia, having spent a good portion of my life as a sailor on aircraft carriers and submarines. I'm lucky enough to have some space set aside in my house for a rec-room, and when someone pays me a visit, there's no doubt about my Naval orientation when they're immersed (submerged? ) in the nautical theme. If they don't pick up on the career "shadow box" in the shape of a ship's wheel and the artists conception of the submarine underway, they may notice the ship's lanterns, glass-covered boatswains mate knot coffee table (with matching CD holders), ship's wheel clock and barometer set, or any number of other accouterments (including over 200 nautical coins, coasters, glasses, and even an unopened, vanity-labeled wine bottle from a Naval vessel that ran aground and sank off the coast of South America a few years back) that populate the room.

Playing Cornhole For Fun And Profit

There are many enjoyable games to be played today, but most 'hobby games' cannot be played in order to make money. Games usually fall into one category or the other. The Cornhole game, however, falls into both. There are a lot of people who play the Cornhole game in their backyard, and there are also a lot of people who play it in tournaments. Some limit it to their backyards, of course, but there are a lot of Cornhole players who work very hard to master the game as much as possible, and then they enter tournaments to compete for cash and prizes. Some of these tournament players have predicted that the Cornhole game will one day be as big as bowling or other games that are currently being broadcast on major television networks.

The Cornhole Game Brings Families Together

There are not a lot of games today that can be enjoyed by families from young to old. Usually, there are games for older people, games for adults, games for teens, and games for children. Getting everyone together is difficult for a lot of reasons. For one thing, interests are very different based on age groups. Another problem is that not everyone has the same skill level or is able to do as much as another person. This means that a game that can be played by a healthy twenty five year old often cannot be played by a seventy five year old, with some exceptions, of course. Because this is the case, individuals who are looking for an enjoyable game that all of their family members can play often struggle to find anything.

Turning Hobby Into Income With The Cornhole Game

A lot of people in this country play the Cornhole game, also sometimes called the bean bag game or the bean bag toss. This is a fun game for all ages, where people toss small, weighted bags at a game board. The object is to get the bag through the hole to score points, but landing a bag on the board and having it not fall off also counts for points, it just does not earn as much. The first person or team to reach twenty-one points wins the game. It is played in backyards, at family gatherings, at tailgating parties, and at countless other venues around the country, and the popularity of it is growing.

Backyard Games For The Family

There are a lot of games that families can play together, but people do not seem to talk about them as much because they are more interested in video games today. For those who like the outdoors, however, there are many backyard games that people can play and enjoy. Some of these can be difficult for certain members of the family to play, however, because the rules are confusing or the athletic prowess that is needed is more than some individuals have. There are still games, though, that everyone can enjoy. One of these is the Cornhole game. Not everyone knows what this game is, but it is popular up north, and in some parts of the west, as well.

What Size Wakeboard Should I Buy?

If you're in the market for a new wakeboard and you you're wondering what size board you should buy check out our wakeboard size / length chart below. The chart is based solely on your weight and the only other consideration when choosing your wakeboard size / length is your riding experience and ability. These tips are pretty generalized and are for a fairly new wakeboarder. I've seen some charts that also consider height but height is not really a factor for choosing your board size / length. Once you've found your size range on the weight / length chart you can modify slightly based on your riding style.

Top 10 Most Underrated Things In Sports

Here is your third installment of a new column called 'Top 10 Things In Sports', a new weekly thing that I will do. Here is your list of the Top 10 things in sports that we think are way underrated and want more people to pay attention to. #10 Arena Football I am definitely not arguing that Arena Football should become as mainstream as the No Fun League and college football, but it's still a good substitute in the spring and a fun sport to watch. There is tons of scoring and it's very easy to understand, other than a few strange rules. #9 Minor League Baseball If you are a Red Sox or Yankee fan than you have permission to skip this one, but not all you fans of the twenty MLB teams that alway suck.

How to Start a Greyhound Syndicate

Greyhound racing is becoming more popular than ever. Should you be interested in starting out in the greyhound racing industry, the best way is to begin with a syndicate. A syndicate in greyhound racing is an association of three or more persons who commonly own and train greyhounds for the sole purpose of competing them in races. In this way, costs for raising racing greyhounds accumulate in just one pool and is commonly shared by the members of the syndication. Although raising greyhounds for racing may be costly, it is comparatively cheaper than raising race horses. Nevertheless, shouldering the entire expense for raising race greyhounds can still be costly for one individual only.
