         <title>Bryan McCabe Open to Accepting a Trade</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-30-02-00-03-448.html</link>
<description> Reportedly, Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Bryan McCabe is saying he is now open to waiving his contract&#039;s no movement clause. He has been asked by Leafs GM Cliff Fletcher to come up with a list of teams he would be willing to accept a trade to. A trade would be a good resolution for both parties involved. Bryan McCabe will get a new start with a new team, and the Toronto Maple Leafs will be able to move forward with a younger defense. This would also mean that Pavel Kubina would likely be staying on the current Maple Leafs roster.

         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-29-20-05-02-914.html</link>
<description> In all the years in recent memory it seems that a team that did not copycat the approach the previous champion made, won the Stanley Cup. Every year, teams make minor and major adjustments to their season plan. Free Agents, Draft Picks, new blossoming players, and Trades put everyone in line to go after Lord Stanley. Who will be the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion? In 2008, the Detroit Red Wings showed that talent and stamina to deliver what could have been during several recent years past. They had a well-rounded team They could dish it out - take it - and fire pucks at you.

         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-26-11-50-03-988.html</link>
<description> With Mats Sundin possibly retiring from the NHL or playing for another team next year, The Maple Leafs are facing the possibility of having to name a new captain. Here is an analysis of the possible choices. The first choice, and perhaps the most likely at this point, is Pavel Kubina. Recently, Toronto Maple Leafs GM Cliff Fletcher has announced he is giving strong consideration to this possibility. Kubina established himself with a solid defensive season last year, and along with Thomas Kaberle, he will be the only veteran leadership for a young defensive lineup.

         <title>In-Season Secret 2 - 3 Game-Winning Nutrition Tips That Will Boost Your Hockey Performance</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-25-15-45-03-556.html</link>
<description> Think of hockey players as high-performance automobiles and food as the fuel that drives their performance. Far too often, players run out of gas during a game after having lunch at a fast-food restaurant or forgetting to eat breakfast. This would be like putting diesel fuel in your tank instead of regular gas or trying to drive on empty. You can be the most skilled player in the world, but if you aren&#039;t putting the right fuel into your tank, you won&#039;t have the energy to compete at the highest level.

<title>In-Season Secret 1 - 3 Mental Skills That Will Take Your Hockey Performance to the Next Level</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-24-17-35-02-982.html</link>
<description> Hockey experts agree that 80% of hockey performance is mental and 20% is physical. We often focus all of our efforts towards building the physical side of the game, instead of taking the time to develop the mental game. And it is this lack of attention to the mental game that is preventing so many teams and players from taking their performance to the next level. Figuring out how to improve the mental side of the game presents a huge challenge to coaches, parents and players alike. To ensure that you and your players are 100% prepared for every game and the team can perform its best, you need to have mental performance strategies in place at the start of the season.

         <title>In-Season Secret 3 - How Off-Ice Warm-Ups Will Dramatically Increase Your On-Ice Performance</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/recreation-and-sports/hockey/news_2008-08-24-12-55-02-974.html</link>
<description> Many players and teams are starting to get the message that off-ice warm-ups are never optional. Players must prepare the muscles they use to skate, shoot and save before every ice session if they want to guarantee that they feel and perform their best. While most players do some kind of off-ice warm-up, many of them are not getting the maximum benefit from their pre-ice routine. Most start the warm-up with a few minutes of jogging and then finish with some quick stretches. The whole routine is usually over in less than 5 minutes - and that just isn&#039;t enough time to get ready to perform your best.
