The Best Fishing Lures To Make The Biggest Catches
So many different lures are out there so what is the difference between them? In this article, I'll tell you about the best fishing lures and when to use them.
You keep trying to make a big catch but come home with nothing or just a few tiddlers. Maybe it was the type of lure you are using? Frankly, you don't know that much about lures at all and just want to know more - here I describe a whole variety of lures for you.
Surface Lures
Surface lures are those types of lures that float on the surface of the water. As you pull in the line then they move over the water. They have fascinating colors and shapes which are made to attract the fish - you'll know when you have a catch because you'll actually see the fish come out of the water to grab it!
Spoons And Spinners
These are very similar types of lure. The spoon is a piece of metal that resembles its namesake. When you pull on the lure then it wriggles in the water in a to and fro motion. A spinner is a type of rotating blade that will glisten when the sunlight reflects of it. So, to the fish, it will look like a small fish with shiny scales i.e. food! You can alter the speed at which the spinning happens and there are also different size spinners depending on what type of fish you are hunting.
Fake Fish Lures
These are often called "minnow lures" because they look like a small fish. They are used to attract fish because they look exactly like the food that they are after. They come in a variety of different types - from those that bob at or just below the surface to large angled divers which are heavy lures that actually sink in the water to depths of several feet.
The thing to remember with lures is that there are so many and it is best to try a few different ones and then stick with what works. Even though some lures work better with some species, there are no guaranteed results so the best fishing lures are the ones that you have tried out and have stood the test of your time.
