Response in Atlanta Shows Improvement in Natural Disaster Response
Recently the southern part of the United States was hit by another natural disaster. Prolonged rain soaked the Atlanta area causing flooding. Although not nearly as widespread as the flooding that Hurricane Katrina subjected the New Orleans area to, the floods that rolled through Atlanta caused a lot of evacuations. This time around people seemed to take the flooding in stride.
The reaction by government agencies was better coordinated and overall more helpful for the people hit by the floods in Georgia. No, people were not treated as lavishly as the guests staying at a Caribbean all inclusive resort, but they were treated well. Flood refugees at a Red Cross shelter felt that they had what they needed and felt lucky to be out of harm's way.
The inclusive resort comparison is of course unrealistic, but examining the way response agencies helped the people affected by this recent flood to past reactions is important. We rely on the government's help when there is a natural disaster. It is good to hear that the people affected by this flood feel they were treated properly because we know this was not the case when Katrina hit. Perhaps, we can have more faith in the way our government is helping us.
The flooding in the Atlanta area is the first real test of the government's response to a natural disaster this year. The wild fires in the southwest, especially California, have been devastating, but their impact on human beings has been limited. As the hurricane season drags into fall and threatens areas in the United States and areas outside our country, like the Curacao beach areas, we may see more disasters and thus be able to see if a new faith in the government's ability to respond to natural disaster is properly placed.
Superclubs feels everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We are happy that those in charge of responding to natural disasters in the United States are better organized and doing more for those displaced by natural disasters. We hope that anyone who has recovered from a natural disaster will have the opportunity to have a well deserve break at a Breezes inclusive resort. If you are interested in gathering more information about a Breezes Resort we invite you to visit us today. If you have a specific desire to stay at a Curacao all inclusive resort or a Caribbean all inclusive resort, we hope you choose SuperClubs. We wish everyone in Atlanta the best, and we hope those who are helping you continue to give you great care.
