Nations Apart - Arab Americans And Muslim Americans
It is vital that we understand each other's culture. A lot of tragedy stem from misunderstanding and the unwillingness to open up one's mind to different perspectives. Take for instance the differences between an Arab American and a Muslim. The most common notion of Arab Americans is that they all practice Islam. A person who comes from an Arab-speaking nation is bound to be one, right? Wrong! What makes a person a follower of Islam is neither the place of origin nor the culture they grew up in. It is the true devotion to Allah. And what is ironic is that the Muslims in America are composed mostly of African Americans and Asian Americans.
The Source of the Mission of Jesus
If we take the position that Rome made the dogma about "the only begotten" which flies in the face of statements attributed to Jesus in places like John 10:34 ("Ye are gods") then we must ask ourselves whether Yeshua of the House of David was able to do things that his forbears like Solomon may have done. Scholars galore can prove this Romanism or Pauline Christianity is not what Yeshua desired to see come to pass. We can see Antioch, Acre, Bangor and even Alexandrian Christology including Arians and Gnostic Cathars as repositories for a larger and more inclusive line of social management which had believed there was some chance people could be taught or learn how to access their collective potential or Divine Providence.
Christian Youth Are Adding New Style To Witnessing
Christian Clothing has become a popular industry in the Christian world the past few years. Teenagers and youth groups have especially made this industry grow. Christian apparel is also a popular method for everyday evangelism by creating new ways to witness by almost wearing your tract on your back. The Christian apparel industry is growing so much that it"s no longer just t-shirts, but many other types of clothing as well! Christian Retail sales grossed over $4.34 billion in 2004. Christians realize that shopping for apparel has just recently has taken on a whole new meaning! Now with just the click of a mouse you can have a whole wardrobe empathizing your faith.
Yelling at God, Dealing with Disappointment
I was reminded recently of a scene in the movie "The Apostle" wherein a lady is talking about his prayer life. She poignantly said, "Sometimes he prays. Sometimes he just yells." Have you ever yelled or had an intense conversation with God? Has God ever disappointed you? Have you ever felt like what God promised you was delaying and not happening as you expected? While in Miami, I was working out at a hotel gym one night when I saw a scene from a sitcom on the TV. A teenage girl who anticipated going out on a date was suddenly asked by her father to stay home and babysit her younger brother.

An Interview With Jesus In 2007
What do you think of the war in Iraq? Jesus: I don"t like it when any person dies and especially innocent civilians. The place is a mess, and the whole occupation is a mess. Iraq is simply a portrait of how this world is at the moment in morality. Men always have hidden motives and agendas and with your modern technology and the Internet and book publishing truth has an ability to get out. I taught to love your enemies and turn the other cheek. Is the church a major let down for you? Jesus: The church has a lot more power then what they use. In each generation since Adam there has been people that are sold out to God.

Miracle In The Mud
The retired aerospace engineering technician who was speaking to me was a committed Christian. His was a life of total surrender to the Lord. If I had not known this, I would have found his war stories incredible. Hearing them now, I could understand his decades of silence on the subject; he assumed no one would believe them. I listened in awe as *Mario Tomasso spoke. During World War II, he had been one of twenty-seven young men from his church called into the armed forces. The church devoted one night each week to special prayer for its servicemen. At late-lasting, well-attended prayer services, fervent intercession was made for their protection and safe return.
Christians Must Change The Statistics
Christians, you aren"t going to like these statistics. A report in 2006 by the Josephson Institute on Ethics revealed that 60 percent of American secular youth admitted to recently cheating on a test, 62 percent had lied to a teacher, and 82 percent had lied to a parent. Past reports have given rise to something even more alarming. They have found that there was almost no difference between these statistics and the statistics among young "professing Christians." Can that be true? Unfortunately, these results confirm the fears that our churches may be filled with unsaved people. These are young people who have not yet given their lives to Christ.
The Bridegroom And The Bride
The signs of the time we"re living in tell us that the bridegroom is coming very soon for His bride! But, who is this bridegroom and who"s the bride? The Church is referred to as the Bride of Christ. Are you a part of that church? "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Acts 2: 21) Jesus died for you as an individual. That means that if you were the only person on earth, He would have died just for you! Therefore, if you believe that, and have called on His Name, then you are His Bride! The word "church" in the original Greek means "the called out ones." You have not chosen Him, but indeed Jesus has chosen you and set you apart from the world to bear fruit for Him!
