Can The IRS Fix Illegal Immigration? We All Know Congress Will Not

The cure for all of Americas woes with Illegal Immigration lies with our esteemed IRS. They do not do anything well, except for sending people to jail. Al Capone, our wonderful ex-Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell, and countless others may have broken laws, killed people, embezzled millions, or just acted like complete jackasses, but they did not get away from the IRS. Since the IRS employees will need to justify their jobs when the FAIRTAX gets implemented they can go after these Illegals. All they will have to do is go to all the chicken plants, construction sites, carpet manufacturers, landscaping companies, etc.

The Looting Liberals Are Back - Look Over Your Shoulder

Already the liberal-democrat Presidential candidates are showing their lust to loot "the rich" to pay for more big government. John Edwards wants to increase taxes on the rich to pay for socialized medicine. Hillary Clinton also lusts for socialized medicine. She is also setting her sights on the "greedy" oil companies. She said in a recent speech, "I want to take those [oil company] profits and put them into an alternative energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy alternatives that will actually begin to move us toward the direction of independence." Notice the word "take, " as in loot or steal from oil companies through confiscatory taxes.

Minimum Wage Hike Will Hurt Workers, Small Businesses

On February 10, The Arizona Republic reported the state's new minimum wage law had cost many teen workers their jobs. Arizona lawmakers recently increased the minimum wage from $5.15 per hour to $6.75 per hour, a move designed to help lower wage earners support themselves and their families, but the end result has been fewer jobs for part time workers and lay offs and fewer hours for those who still have jobs. We can expect this on a national scale once the proposed minimum wage hike to $7.25 passes the Senate and gets signed in to law by President Bush. With this law-and others-lawmakers have focused on the instant gratification of higher wages without considering the far-reaching ramifications of such artificial manipulation of the free market.

The Wisdom of Amenemope is Still with Us Today

Have you ever considered where all the principles and ideals that you and your civilization hold so dear originally came from? Think about our social programs in the United States and how we make sure that people who cannot provide for themselves are taken care of from the excess flows of our nation? Consider what we as citizens feel are priorities that we entrust our government to take care of. Have you ever considered where these ideas come from? Most of us were born into our society and civilization and taught that this is the way things work and we are told that it is the fair thing to do.

Fear of Too Many Illegal Aliens in the US Causes Shock Waves

Many people who watch the evening news are fearful of the events taking place in our nation. Often the events that take place are indeed embellished by the mass media hysteria causing and inciting even more fear. One fear that has been perpetuated across the land and causing shock waves in our society is the fear of too many illegal aliens crossing over our border. Recently, our online think tank did an online study and we took a survey of what people fear the most. The obvious answers were global warming and the war in Iraq. Many parents were worried that their children might be abducted by sexual predator.

Fear of Government; Survey Said!

The votes were flooding in more and more each day to the online think tank survey, as you might have guessed Global Warming and Al Qaeda were both big on the chart. But looking through the data we saw more and more fears such as; Fear of Government; Survey Said, it ranks 7 on the list of the biggest fears of Americans. One survey participant stated that both parties perpetuated this fear for him; government getting bigger and exerting more control. He stated that most people did not even bother to check the voting records of their Congressmen. Worse he said many of the bills are miss named and have so much pork in them it is hard to call them by their actual names.

Cain Couldn t Find His Gun

Most people are familiar with the biblical story of Cain and Abel - where a man (Cain) takes a stone and strikes his brother (Abel) - killing him - this was his intention. Biblically speaking - this was the first recorded murder and first crime. Much can be learned from this story. Gun control advocates would have you believe Cain used a gun to kill Abel - however, we know this can"t be true. After all, guns weren"t invented until hundreds of years later. It"s a safe assumption to assert that guns played no role in this tragic crime of murderous intent. In fact, horrific crimes are described throughout the Old Testament - but I can"t remember any of the stories mentioning a gun.

Three Reasons Why Senator Hillary Clinton Won t Be President

Here are the reasons... 1.) Nancy Pelosi For anyone thinking far enough ahead, it's an easy decision to not elect Hillary Clinton as President of the U.S. It's already daunting enough for most people to imagine a woman as President of this country, but for the fearful and uncertain voters it only gets worse. As remote as the possibility may seem, what if "President" Hillary Clinton and her vice-President were to (God forbid) suffer personal tragedy in our terrorist-infested world and were rendered incapable of performing duties as Commander-in-Chief? The United States Constitution makes provisions for the third in line for the Presidency to be the speaker of the House - enter Nancy Pelosi.

Nurturing Malaysian Democracy

For a very long time, Malaysian politics has been centred on a strong government and a weak opposition. The only time when there was ever a serious threat to the ruling regime's hegemony was in 1969, when several opposition parties went on the offensive. However, they were severely harmed by victory parades that went awry, and by the violence that ensued from a government counter-rally. Malaysians often don't treat the opposition seriously. The opposition is viewed, to this day, as a group that cannot be taken seriously. Even though in this pseudo-democracy, there is a very strong need for a viable opposition to the ruling regime, Malaysians don't vote for the opposition.

The Trouble With Power

Power is by itself a very powerful word. In fact, in many advertisements, using "power" gives the reader the feeling that this product will do things that are not capable of being accomplished by ordinary means. There are power this, and power that. But what about power when it comes to individuals, governments or groups? What does power do and mean in these circumstances? Power is given to enable certain entities to go beyond the ordinary use of whatever is being deemed necessary. You have the power of attorney, the power of the courts, and the power of the government. One aspect of power, however, is that it is addictive and this is where the problems usually start.
