Despair Follows Katrina
A year and a half after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their homes, the majority of the residents of Waveland, Mississippi still live in FEMA trailers. Recovery from the devastating trauma will only come when they are able to return to their own homes. Many are losing hope of that ever happening. Three key elements prevent reconstruction: funds appropriated by Congress to FEMA have not been distributed to the people; insurance companies have denied payment for damages; and there is a scarcity of construction workers. Churches and volunteers have been the only reliable help and hope. "Only God can help us now, " lamented Sarah, a 75 year-old woman from Waveland.

The Plan to Save an African Community From AIDS?
Solving the HIV, AIDS crisis in Africa will not be easy and there are no guarantees or silver bullets. This is a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions and yet some just do not wish to think about it. Perhaps they think it will just go away if they refuse to look into the challenges that we face in Africa? It is not something that will just go away; it is not something that money alone can fix. It is not going to be solved without a herculean effort from tens of thousands of people and backed up with real resources. In considering this our Online Think Tank feels the need to get the word out to the masses in the United States and keep this issue on the front burner We have considered writing an entire eBook of the project with "Real Stories" like the ones that were recently heard on the NPR special or those from the group KENWA.
A Game of Will Power - Government Versus Terrorist
Picture this. You are driving your car in a one-way street and all of a sudden there appears another car, driving right at you. There is no space to turn. You stop your car and wait until the other puts his in the back-gear. But this does not happen. You wait some more and notice that the person behind the other steering-wheel signals you to go back. You have probably experienced this. According to the other drivers' attitude he will either excuse himself -- sorry I haven t seen that this was a one-way street, but some people can be really annoying. Even if they are driving in the wrong direction, that doesn t keep them from acting as if they where right.

Speech!
Well you might be able to take some comfort in knowing that you aren't the only one. The father of the bride and the best man are also expected to make a speech. There are no hard and fast rules as to when the speeches should take place. Traditionally they take place after the last course of your wedding breakfast, i.e. the wedding reception meal. The first person to speak should be the father of the bride, then the groom, and the best man. They traditionally follow each other, to allow the festivities to continue with the cutting of the cake. The Father of the Bride's Speech It is traditional for the father of the bride to speak first.

No Room For Disaster - A Normal Day In E.R.
On a busy Wednesday last week, I was rushing around my ER as usual, trying to take care of all my patients and help my coworkers like we always do. It was an ordinary day. Patients were flowing into the crowded waiting room, and ambulance gurneys with patients were waiting at the Charge Nurse desk to report-off and get a bed assigned to put the patient in, so they could go back out and bring in some more. Just a normal Wednesday, busier than some, but nothing very unusual. The beds filled up early, as soon as they were vacated by the overnight patients. Then the waiting room filled up, and backed up;
Constructive Elements Of American Culture
Constructive elements of the US culture and American characteristics separate American society from Europe and other world countries, even American neighbors. This distinction becomes clearer with comparison of America and Canada. Both countries were established by European migrants, but Canadian culture has more similarity with European culture.
