Couple Wins 116 Million

A New Jersey couple has won the recent highly anticipated $390 jackpot in the United States. They claim they have "Retired, effective immediately," as most probably would do in the situation. I certainly would - although I like to think I would continue writing articles just for the hell of it. They were the winners of the Mega Millions Jackpot lottery, and walk away with about $116 billion after government taxes on the winnings. That would do me just nicely - I could even pay someone to write all my articles for me.

The 25 percent tax is a rather large one, but the couple is still overly gleeful over the $116 billion they will receive. The couple claimed that they could not sleep for the entire night after seeing all of the winning numbers on the television screen, but who can blame them? The couple has won one of the highest amounts the game has ever offered, which covers a few states.

"We feel very fortunate and blessed" said the winner, Harold Messner. "Now we can do all of the things we said we always wanted to do", he adds. With winnings such as this, Harold declined to comment on what they would do with the money. "We would like to talk to a financial advisor first", he claims.

A truck driver in Georgia had another winning ticket, and claimed his stake in the pot hours after learning he too, was a winner. He could not be reached for interviews - no doubt he was tucked away to the early hours of the morning writing articles.
