The Duchess of York - Rogue Royal
Sarah Ferguson was born in 1959. After meeting Prince Andrew they got engaged in 1986 and married later that year in Westminster Abbey. Before this time it had been clear that she had caused somewhat upset in the Royal Family in Britain. They had two daughters - Beatrice and Eugenie. Unfortunately their marriage was not to last and they divorced in 1996.
She was always happy, it seems, to cause trouble for the Royal Family in Britain and this was exemplified in various publications such as "101 Things You Didn"t Know About the Royal Lovebirds." This was authored by Talbot Church.
Amongst her better contributions to society and commerce, she became spokeswoman for Ocean Spray cranberry juice and then an advocate for Weight Watchers. She became the figurehead for other companies and has written a number of successful books, mainly for children but also encapsulating a flavor of her love for photography.
There is, however, a history with Sarah Ferguson [subsequently Sarah Duchess of York] of wild parties, escapades with many different men, and general untoward antics not suggestive of the behavior of a member of the Royal Family. These events were widely reported and commented upon making Sarah a bit of a showcase Royal rogue.
There are other incidences of lack of judgment with Sarah Ferguson and, because of ongoing disharmony in her relationship in her marriage, she divorced Prince Andrew the Duke of York. Despite all this she remains a prominent figure in the eyes of the British nation and many people have taken her to their hearts as a lovable and down-to-earth person.
