Beginner s Internet Marketing - Three Steps to Take Before You Design Your First Website

Your first website can be very over whelming but do not despair follow these three easy steps and you will be half way there.

  • Step One
First of all you need to gather the applicable information. This could come in the form of graphics, video clips, logos and images. You will also need your written text and product prices with descriptions. Your written text should be well thought out and well written, so either hire someone to write it for you or at least get it reviewed.

  • Step Two
Second you have to decide what look and feel you would like your website to represent. Take a look at other websites that may be similar to your product or service this is a good place to get some good ideas. When you visit these sites ask yourself if they are user friendly and easy to navigate.

  • Step Three
Next you are ready to start planning your site. Think about your site like you are the customer. What would you be looking for? What questions would they want you to answer? Try to make this process as simple as possible. The sites that have a lot of flash are not always the most profitable sites. Less is sometimes more you want your customer to get to where they are going in the shortest number of steps.

Now you have a plan for your site you are ready to put it all together and build your first website. The next question you should ask yourself is whether to hire a web designer or build you own site?
