Quick and Easy Guide To Building Profitable Websites

How To Get Your Internet Business Off The Ground Fast

  1. Decide on a format (mini site, affiliate site, product promotion site, blog, whatever).
  2. Briefly check that this is a system that has worked for several years without too many changes. This isn't easy unless you've been doing some form of Internet Marketing for long enough to have an idea but in general, affiliate sites have been around for long enough to qualify, scraped content sites came and went. Don't get hung up on this, starting is more important.
  3. Quickly (i.e. without spending weeks and weeks and weeks thinking about it) get a handful of sites up to test. 1 site isn't enough, it could be excellent and give you false hope, it could be rubbish and put you off a good idea. Ideally 10 sites on different areas of the same subject (so you could do minerals, health drinks, vitamins, etc all in the health area). Doing them in the same subject area will make the autoresponder job a lot easier as they can all point to the same one.
  4. Promote them using tried and tested techniques that still work e.g. articles. Reciprocal links seem to be getting a lot less important but there are a few exceptions, so concentrate on these. Use programs such as Comment Hut to find the low hanging fruit. "Write" the first article yourself. If you "can't write", talk to yourself as if you were telling a friend about the item. Then type up what you've talked about. The article doesn't have to be win a literary prize. Spend time on the headline as that's the most important aspect. You're looking for a 300 - 400 word article with a strong call to action in the bio at the end.
  5. Set up an autoresponder for 1 message a day. Get at least 60 messages in it (2 months worth), all with a call to action at the end leading to an affiliate product. Each message should be maybe 200 - 300 words long. So long as you comply with rules, these could be articles from article sites, Wiki articles, etc.
  6. Repeat this daily until you've reached ten sites. By this time, if you did 1 site a day on each weekday it'll be 2 weeks time and you'll have some results from at least site 1.
  7. If it's working, carry on. If not, move on to your next best method.

You could do the above in maybe an hour a day - 10 minutes to scour through article directories to get relevant articles, 10 minutes to put them into a template, 5 minutes to upload, 20 minutes to write and submit an article, 5 minutes to add 5 auto responder messages, 10 minutes to get Comment Hut style backlinks.

For each site that works and starts to show signs of life, outsource the next, say, 3 - 5 articles and use these to get more traffic.

The 10 hours outlined above will prove or disprove whether the course you're following is likely to make it worthwhile outsourcing. It will also give you a very good idea of how much time is involved, so if you decide to outsource some of the work in the future, you'll know how much you should be paying.
