How Do I Increase My Technorati Authority?
This seems to be one of the big questions that gets thrown around. Before you say anything about how can I talk about getting authority.
I do have a valid reason and that because this is a new blog and also I do have quite a bit of experience in building authority.
Ok back to the question at hand. In my time, of blog development and marketing, I have found many ways of driving traffic to websites.
But today I am going to tell you my three steps that I used to build Technorati authority to my websites.
First and maybe the hardest to do is develop compelling content. It can either be controversial, unique or informative.
If you can combine all of these attributes into one article then you are very talented person. Not to say it doesn't happen but when it does you will see an explosion of traffic to your site just from good content. But you still need to let others know about it.
The second is a must in getting authority, and that is to have others link to you.
This can be done in a few ways such as commenting on other blogs with a link pointing back to your site or have others write a post about your blog or a post you've written.
Depending on your content you wrote will depend how much buzz you will receive.
Now that you are this far, you going to need to post you're links to social voting sites. Some of the best are digg, reddit, and bloggingzoom. There are many more but these are some of the best.
The way they work is when you post you link to them people will vote on it. The more votes you get the better your rank you'll get in these sites and in turn your authority will grow in Technorati.
Now if you are new to blogging I suggest that you post frequently and daily and to follow the steps mentioned above for every post.
That should be your goal on a daily bases for at least the first two months. If you do that I will promise you'll see a big impact on the amount traffic coming to your site.
So just to let you know, Technorati authority is based on how many links are pointing back to your site, so the more you post and let others know about it the better you authority will be.
In the end to rank well in Technorati is to rank well in Google and other major search engines.
