No More Vacations - Make Money While On Business Trips

No more vacations. With your travel-related internet business, there are no more vacations. Before you start to visualize being tied to a computer desk for the next 52 weeks straight, take a deep breathe and read on.

One of the glorious "perks" of owning your own travel focused internet business is that every vacation suddenly becomes a business trip. Of course, you must be there to conduct business. There are a ton of rule for tax deductions (always pay your fair taxes) - but if you know that going in, then you can enjoy the benefits of going to interesting places while conducting business.

While this article won't go through the requirements for tax deductions, it will help outline why you should never take another vacation. It will also stress that you must take many more business trips to interesting places - like Disneyland or Aruba.

First, you need that internet business that is related to travel. There are several. Ideally, you want one that does not demand too much of your direct personal attention to function. Running a travel agency is like running any business, even online. Unless you have deep pockets and are paying other people, then you probably have to be there most of the time. Taking time off is tough. You want an online business that you can manage easily, without too much constant attention. You still need to work at it - it's your business - but it shouldn't be a ball and chain. Get lined up with a decent internet business that is legitimately related to travel.

Second, you need to travel to the places related to your internet business. One common online business model is the travel club membership. If this is your thing, then use your membership. Check out the resorts. Write reviews on your websites, blogs, etc. Take videos for marketing and demonstration purposes and post them on YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, and your websites. This will work for you in two important ways - advertise the benefits of the product (membership) and help build your downline network to increase sales.

Third, the nature of an internet business is that you can run it pretty much anywhere. So if you have a travel related internet business, what stops you from travelling and running the business? Maybe you can't get decent broadband in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle. But then again, you might be surprised. You can take pictures of you and a toucan and upload them to your website in minutes. Very cool. And you can get directly in touch with people via email or webcams - show them the glory of working on a beach in Jamaica, and making money while doing it.

Fourth, while on your business trip you are constantly encountering people on vacation. Maybe they are interested in taking more business trips and less vacations, based on your example. Let people know that you can get them the same vacation at a fraction of the cost. Show them that you can make money sitting at the pool bar, three sheets to the wind. It is amazing what response you will get from some business trips. Often, you can make more from an afternoon sitting on the beach than you would updating websites and paying affiliates for a month of traffic generation.

You need to stop abusing yourself and stop taking vacations. Business trips are much more interesting, enjoyable, and profitable. Your internet business related to travel can be a significant source of ready income and joy in your work. Don't pass up the opportunity to save money, make money, and finally climb a Mayan pyramid.
