Adsense Advice - What It Really Takes For Adsense Success

I am sure you have heard how adsense can make you rich. But just how do you do it?

Most people are lead to believe they can retire off adsense income if they build a little 50 page website and get a few visitors to it. It ain't that easy. You need tons of money making monkeys working for you.

With a good design and well optimized pages with relevent content, you should shoot for 1000 well linked pages. Making money is a numbers game. If you put out that many properly linked monkeys they will bring you back a small fortune every month. It just wont happen overnight like you have been lead to expect.

With that many pages (and some article links) you will hit the top of the search engines for more terms than you ever imagined possible. Even though I have top rankings for one of my other niche sites in just about every keyphase that relates to it, I still get 75% of my traffic from terms I never specifically targeted.

That site has about 70 well linked pages and ranks #1 (and #2) in Goolge for the most relevent term relating to my product, out of almost 2.5 million sites. I also have the top two spots for 4 other highly relevent terms.

Since you will never make money with Adsense if you have to pay for traffic (well, almost never...more on that in Monkey Speaks), it is important that you learn what to do to optimize your web pages. And then flood the web with them.

Working with such a large number of pages as you will be requires the use of templates. I use Dreamweaver and make very simple pages. A single editable area for content is the only thing that distiguishes one page from the next. But I can update every single page, no matter how many I have, with the click of a mouse.

If a new affiliate product comes out, I can add it to every page with that same mouse click. If I add a new link or folder, same thing. If you can't work with a template and update every page with a click, take the time to master using templates now.

My sites are admittedly boring, but informative and provide useful and relevent content that I hope will help you. If nothing else, my sites rank awfully high for a lot of things. So how bad is boring?

Here is what I suggest you do, starting from scratch and using high demand keywords.

1) Design your template to fit the ads in the best place. Nobody can tell you where that is for sure, but most experts agree that you should blend it in with your content.

2) Test your template for a while to see the CTR for it. Make any adjustments you think it needs and keep tinkering with it until you reach a satisfactory CTR and each click pays a respectable amount. A 5 cent click won't really help the bank account.

3) If your topic is not very popular, you may need to start over with something that pays better. If you want to make money, you have to go where it is.

4) Once you have found a template that produces, start adding content like crazy. Find an article site that you like and pull every article you can from it. Cut it, paste it, link it, and move on to the next one.

5) When you get to about a thousand pages or so of good content, you will be well on your way to making an Adsense living. If you think you can make it on 100 pages, you will be disappointed.

Start now. Make the decision that you are going to build a site, based on valuable keywords, of 1000 pages. Understand how to link them for maximum effect. Do a little research, but don't waste time.

Build, link, and fully optimize each page before moving on to the next. You don't want to have to go back and do a lot of tedious work later to get it right. If you can't find the time to do it right the first time, how are you going to find the time to do over?

Train your monkey to be the best he can be right from the start, then turn him loose in the internet jungle. If you do it right, your monkeys will tend to themselves once you have sent them out. You will never have to do the work again, and it will continue to benefit you indefinitely.

Now for the part you don't want to hear. If you are going to succeed, you have to be willing to put out a lot of work without seeing a nickel in return for probably three or four months.

You will probably be finishing the 1000th monkey at about the same time you will begin seeing the results of your work. If they are not what you want, tweak the template a little to improve on the rankings.

I suspect that if you do get to the 1000 page mark (assuming you have them properly optimized and linked) you will be quite pleased with the results. And it will continue to produce even more in Adsense, not to mention affiliate sales, without you ever having to do any more to it other than refresh the files from time to time.

Just for motivational purposes, look at some numbers. You have chosen a popular topic and placed out 1000 pages of linked content. Your site has been operating for about a year and you are getting a 10% CTR (high but doable)on Google ads.

Your good rankings for a lot of things because of the sheer volume of monkeys you have in the jungle produces for you 2,000 visitors a day. That's a lot of visitors, but not if you figure some keyphrases get searched for millions of times a month and your good rankings for variations of those terms.

With a 10% CTR, you would be getting 200 clicks a day. You are making $1.00 off each click. Wait, no, that's what the gurus say in their advertisements. You are making 35 cents a click. That is reasonable.

That's $70 a day, for 30 days. Wow, $2,100 a month with no work.

But if you just place a few affiliate links on your template, at least one out of thousand visitors will buy a product. If you make $20 for each product (and you can make a lot more than that), that's another $40 a day.

O.K., $40 a day for 30 days is $1,200.

Your money making monkeys are now bringing you home $3,300 a month and you don't have to do anything! But you did have to work your ass off for several months building and optimizing web pages.

All thats over now. You can sit back and enjoy what you have built. You will be so thrilled with what you have done that you will do it again just for the challenge.

I hope this motivates you to get started on your site now. Do the work and don't get discouraged because it isn't paying off immediately. It's not supposed to. That happens only in Guruland. I suggest you stay away from there.

Good luck, and never doubt the cause you are working for even if the payoff comes long after the work itself.
