Advantages and Disadvantages of Bulk Emailers
Bulk mailers are used by many internet marketing people who don't have a decent sized list of their own. Most bulk mailers claim to mail out to millions of people. They can be a useful tool in an overall internet marketing strategy, but you must realize their advantages and disadvantages.
ADVANTAGES:-
- You don't have to build up your own op-in list
- You can email to a large list
- No spam complaints as people have already opted in
- Easy to use
- Able to create HTML ads and use pictures
- Can create sign ups, sales from a new source of customers
DISADVANTAGES:-
- You don't know how many people are actually reading the emails, many will be junked
- Must be used everyday to see any results
- Must produce subject lines with a hook that make readers open the email
- The good ones cost money to join, some with monthly fees or a one time payment.
- Some products don't do well on bulk mailers
Bulk mailers aren't perfect, but they do offer newbies who don't have they own opt-in list a chance to market straight off the bat. Like most things on the internet their are a number of free ones out there, but they normally limit you to mailing once a week, whereas paid ones normally let you email once a day. If you use a free one it can be hard to keep track of when you last used it. Nothing is worse than completing a kick ass ad only to find out you can't send it out for another 3 days.
