How To Build Your Affiliate Product Portfolio

Regardless if you are a new or very experienced affiliate marketer, I am going to start by asking you one specific question: how many affiliate products are you marketing right now? If you answer this question with only one, two or three affiliate products, you have it all wrong. What you are doing is trying a couple of products, waiting to see if they make money and when they don't, dump them and move on to the next ones. Using this method you will never generate income unless you happen to be very lucky. Tiny portfolios with huge turnover will never work. From my experience, this is the main mistake both new and seasoned affiliate marketers make. You must stop this zombie mentality of doing the same thing over and over if you want to succeed as an affiliate marketer.

Guess what, it is not our fault that most of us start out with this mentality because that is exactly what the big dogs of the affiliate world teach us. They want you to find random affiliate products through trial and error before moving into the larger affiliate market. Why, because by the time you actually learn something from your trial and error affiliate marketing, you have already lost a substantial amount of money. Thus, you will never make it to larger affiliate markets. So when managing your portfolio, make sure you always have at least 5 to 10 affiliate products.

Your portfolio should change constantly and always be in a dynamic phase. When you find a good product, add it to your portfolio. When the demand for one product starts to diminish steadily do not hesitate to remove it. Do not ever be satisfied with your portfolio because when you become comfortable with it, your income will take a hike. Make sure to constantly monitor the performance of all the products in your portfolio.
