Listen, in order to burn fat and build lean muscle, it doesn't take rocket science. All it takes is for you to follow the basic core principles of a healthy lifestyle.
Those principles are:
1. Proper nutrition: Complex carbs, healthy fats, fiber, protein, and foods rich in vitamins and minerals.
2. Drink plenty of water every day: 1/2 to 1 gallon of water per day is ideal. Yes, you have to drink that much! Here's a tip: drink ice cold water as this will cause a thermongenic effect (your body will burn calories to warm the water up to body temperature!).
3. Get plenty of sleep every night: Getting an adequate amount of sleep every night is something that is often overlooked as one of the easy ways to burn fat and build lean muscle. It's during your rest time when muscles grow and repair themselves....which during this time, your body is naturally burning off calories!
4. Cardio exercise: Make sure you do not do too much cardio. Too much cardio will lead to not just fat loss, but also muscle loss!! I recommend doing short high intensity cardio sessions such as sprinting and incline treadmill.
5. Weight training: Well, this is a no brainer. You want to really burn fat, you have to build lean muscle....period.
