Eat! Eat! Eat! yes I said it! We need to eat more believe it or not. However, we need to eat more of the right foods and at the right times. Most people who are overweight either eat the wrong food all day long or they only eat twice a day. Those 2 big meals are generally very big portions and they tend to overstuff the body. Our bodies are not meant to eat these big meals. Remember we used to be hunters and gatherers which meant we were always on the go. Some of us eat till we are so stuffed and can't move and this is a very bad habit.

We need to be eating small healthy meals every 2 to 2 1/2 hours. 5 to 6 of these small healthy meals a day to be exact and that's the best way to do it. What should we eat you ask? Well we need to eat lean proteins, brown rice, whole grains, nuts, veggies, fruits, water, yogurt, skim milk and fish. These are very excellent choices because they are very healthy, very light foods, and not heavy on the body at all.

Now this is how the 5 to 6 meals work on your body! When we eat our metabolism starts up and burns, however, when were not eating our metabolism isn't doing much. That's exactly why eating 2 or 3 meals a day makes you actually gain weight. There is so much time in between the meals that we are wasting and could be burning lots and lots of fat! So, make sure to snack in between, keep drinking fluids, and stay active.

Finally when it comes to working out the best way to burn fat is to lift weights first than do cardio and this is why. When we eat our body breaks down carbohydrates in the body and stores them as energy in the form of glycogen. Well when we lift weights we generally burn most of our glycogen storage and then when you start doing cardio you can go straight into the fat burning stage! It's great, It's effective, and It's what most people recommend!
