Weight Loss Tips For Overweight Teens
Whether you are in middle school or in high school, being fat sucks. Trust me I was right there with you! I didn't have many friends, I was never picked to play on anyone's team, and I was always tired. Well I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and that's the best way that I can put it. Many years and many classes later I have learned what it takes to be healthy and I am here to share it with you today!
First of all our diets these days are horrible. Being a personal trainer I have come to learn that many people eat the wrong foods and at the wrong times of the day. We need to be consuming 5 to 6 small healthy meals every single day. These small meals keep you from getting hungry, they keep your energy level high, and best of all they keep your metabolism burning all day long. When you eat make sure to include egg whites, whole grain breads, wheat pasta, brown rice, fruits, veggies, and lots of water. These are some of the best weight loss tips that teens can follow!
Avoid simple carbohydrates! We know that sometimes we may be in a hurry to get to school so we grab or pick up whatever is most convenient. However, donuts, cakes, cookies, candy and soda should not be a part of a teenagers diet. These don't have any type of nutritional value, and did you know that soda alone has 150 calories for every 12 ounces. That means if you drink 20 less cans of coke than you normally do, well that is a pound of fat you will lose!
Technology is making us fat and lazy. Playstation 3, X box, internet, television, all of these electronic devices keep us sitting down all day long. What do we do when were sitting down and being entertained? We eat! And what do we eat? Popcorn! Chips! Dip! Cookies! Candy! This is so bad for our bodies. We need to eliminate some of the time spent doing nothing and we need to increase our physical output or activity.
Finally you need to follow these tips and find a weight loss program that works right with your body because not all programs are created equally. Make sure to research your program and don't just pick the first one you see.
