More Painless Weight Loss Tips

This is an addition to the other tips I wrote about. Weight loss does not have to be painful. Use these tips to take the edge off and make your life a little easier.

1 Move to the boob tube

Get your body moving while you are watching your favorite television shows. You can dance to the music while you are watching American idol or other music show. You could practice boxing when you are watching the apprentice, we all know some of those guys need a poke in the nose. It really does not matter what you do as long as you are moving, for at least 15 minutes.

2. shrink your plate size

When you trade your regular dinner plate for a smaller one you trick yourself into being satisfied with less. You look at your plate and it looks full. This theory applies to more than just plates, try using smaller cups bowls and even spoons. When you eat something really yummy with a small spoon, not only does the experience last longer, but your body has time to register the food it has eaten.

3. Eat in

It is so easy to run to the fast food place for a quick bite, or to want to sit down after a long day and have someone serve you. When you realize how much fat and how many calories you consume when you eat out, it can make you think twice. If you still want to eat out, make smarter choices like grilled meat with lots of veggies and say no to the appetizers, they are almost always brimming with fat and calories.

Tip 4 Get outside of yourself

When you are so focused on weight loss you can become bored or too focused on yourself. Take a break from the things that you always do and try something new. Volunteer at the local homeless shelter, this will give you a different perspective on eating. Become involved in a program that you believe in or visit a shut in on a weekly basis. These things will not only keep your mind off food, they will raise your self esteem as you provide service to others.

Tip 5. Slow and steady wins the race

Be patient with yourself. That is easy to say I know. Think about how long it took you to get to this place in your life. It will take you a while to get where you want to be. Remember that it is easier to maintain a weight loss than it is to lose weight. Cultivate patience and you may find your way to a higher self esteem, better mood and better health. Who knows you might lose a few pounds in the process

Use these weight loss tips to make your journey a little easier. The journey to your weight loss goals is hard enough, remember to be kind to yourself and know that it won't happen overnight. You can do it.
