Burn Fat - Top 5 Fat Burning Tips
I am not going to include anything that has to do with weight loss supplements, minerals etc... These things do not work. They may increase performance, but if you just take them and don't exercise, and eat a lot those pills will not help you.
Its also really easy for some company to get people to try out their product for a few months, pay them to say some good things about it, or even hire a celebrity to endorse it.
So let's get started. Here are some tips on how to burn fat.
- Do something that you can take your mind off of eating. I got back into hockey, and I don't even like to eat anymore. I mean sure I get hungry and snack on a few things, but I don't sit at the refrigerator, and empty it. It doesn't even have to be physical. I hate to say it, but video games, writing, socializing all distract you from eating, unless you are at lunch with your friends.
- Jog 10-15 minutes/day. If you start small, even 5 minutes/day. Soon you will begin to enjoy running. Running releases pleasurable endorphins in your body. This is known as the runners high. I'm not trying to get you addicted, but maybe it's just something you need to motivate you for now, until you start to enjoy it. Gradually increase yourself, do not push yourself to hard.
- Pick up a sport. Like I mentioned earlier, the thing with hockey helped a lot. I stopped playing 3 years ago, and got right back into it. However if you enjoy being outside, try taking on a sport like tennis. Tennis or out-door swimming. Just being outside can get rid of so many problems we have.
- Eat more frequently - instead of eating 3 large meals/day, break it down into 6-8 small meals/day. This frequent eating will increase your metabolism, and cause your body to burn more calories.
- I saved the best one for last! DRINK MORE WATER. If you are somewhat overweight and would like to burn some fat, instead of grabbing a snack, chug a glass of water, do this and WALAH! You are no longer hungry. The water has replaced your hunger for the mean time. However if you work or have classes try to let your teacher or boss know that you are drinking more water, so you may be using the bathroom more often, tell them that I need this because the doctor told me to do it. Hopefully they won't mind.
