In my opinion, the biggest reason people fail to lose weight on weight loss programs is the diets overcompensate on philosophy. The simple truth is no matter HOW you slice it or dice it, a calorie is a calorie. You NEED to burn 3500 calories for every pound of fat you want to lose. No matter how much cutting edge philosophy is imparted about your metabolism, special foods and all of that sort of theoretical mumbo jumbo, if you are NOT metabolizing MORE energy than you are taking in ( calories being a simple function of energy) you are simply NOT going to lose weight, no matter HOW smart the guy on the book looks!
