The Atkins Diet is merely a low-carbohydrate diet that promises that you will lose weight. You will "be on the road to a better heart." So what you do is restrict your carbohydrates drastically to a nothing which is never really found in emblematic American diet. The body will then go into a state of ketosis? Most people don't even know is what a state of ketosis so the diet must work right? Strange words sound intelligent right? Dr. Atkins says so! Ketosis is a fancy word meaning that your body burns its fat for fuel. Ketosis is just a word they use to hook you into this dim-witted diet.

As a result your body will feel less hungry because it is in a state of ketosis. What they lack to tell you is that ketosis can make you feel unpleasant in many ways. You will have bad breath and even constipation. This does sound like a wonderful diet now doesn't it? What this means is that your body changes from a carbohydrate-burning machine to a fat burning-machine.
The Truth of The Atkins Diet Exposed

What a growing number of doctors have found on the Atkins Diet is that it promotes heart disease. There is even a potential loss of bone growth, and the potential for people with liver and kidney problems to have trouble with large amounts of protein. The body simply needs 150 grams of carbohydrates a day to function. This diet does not allow that to happen. What's even more disheartening is that this foolish dieting plan does not promote a high intake or fruits and vegetables.

Maybe you have tried the Atkins Diet? It worked for me in the beginning you might be thinking. The truth is that this diet only allowed you to lose water weight. As soon as you stop falling the rules of the Atkins Diet you gain all the weight back.
