Low Calorie Diets Do Not Work

I've been trying low calorie diets my whole life. And guess what? I've been fat my whole life! Low calorie diets simply do not work. Sure, they may work for a short amount of time, but rigorously reducing your calories will only make your more inclined to overeat and will also lower your metabolism.

Your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to your weight as a life saving method. Its a good thing that our bodies can do this, however, not so good for those of us trying to lose weight by calorie counting. Why does the diet industry continue to tell us that the best way to lose weight is by counting calories? I've met so many thin and healthy people who never count calories unless they are trying to bulk up and gain muscle. What is their secret?

They are not starving themselves! Of course, they are not swimming in vats of chocolate and cheese pizza but they do indulge from time to time and never gain weight because of it. While the rest of us feel guilty over every bit of food that reaches our lips, feeling bad about ourselves because we were not born with an endless supply of willpower. The truth is, if you try to starve yourself by suddenly eating 1,000 calories a day then your metabolism will find ways to make sure that you are only burning 1,000 calories a day.

That is why counting calories continues to fail us all. It will never work, now you know why when you only eat 1,000 calories and not lose weight while many of our thin friends can eat 2,500 calories and never gain a single pound!

The reason why I was overweight for most of my life, and a good reason why you are overweight is because of the wrong foods! What does this mean? If you are eating the wrong types of foods at the wrong times each day, it doesn't matter how many calories you eat, you will not lose weight.

The type of food you eat is more powerful than any diet pill and that fact alone will determine if you are a fat person or a thin person. There are many secrets that your thin friends won't tell you about what they are and are not eating. Not only is it important to know the which foods to eat, but you also need to know when to eat them and in what patterns. This method is not complicated and is certainly not a method for starvation by counting calories.

We all know the old story, "your body is an engine" and uses food as fuel. Well, that story is true. If you don't eat the right foods for your body, it will not use it as fuel. It will simply store these foods as fat. Imagine how your body would run if you were eating the right fuel? That food would in turn be used and burned, regardless of how much you eat. In fact you actually need to eat more than three times a day to keep your body running. You can and will get slim by eating the right foods at the right times.
