Strength Training Workouts Are Much Better Than Traditional Aerobics
If you are busy and are looking for effective workouts to exercise your heart and burn some body fat, then when it comes to aerobics these days, you must heed the advice of Elmer Fudd: be veeewy, veeewy ceeehful.
It isn't that I'm a hater of aerobics or cardio training... I just really don't like wasting time on ineffective exercises and workouts.
And I'm the guy putting toothpaste on his toast to save time!
But if you want to get lean and sculpt your body... cardio exercises is probably not the answer.
And for most people... that statement would be considered "sacrilegious" because EVERYBODY says you MUST do cardio to burn fat. Hogwash! If everyone jumps off the bridge... would you jump off too?
Of course you wouldn't and this is why you should challenge conventional thinking because many times... they are wrong or there is a better way...
And I'm telling you of all the folks that I know who have great bodies... most if not all, DON'T do any aerobics or cardio workouts. How can that be? Simple, they know it doesn't work and don't want to put in hours and hours of long and boring cardio with very little results
I don't blame 'em!
First of all, let's define cardio or aerobic exercises... without getting technical... if you are huffing and puffing... then dude, it is cardio!
So if you are doing circuit training with a db or a barbell and you are huffing and puffing... then it is great for your heart and burning fat.
One of my favorite and simplest exercise to use with either a dumbbell or a barbell is the clean and press. Just lift the bar or dumbbells up to your shoulders from the ground... and then continue pressing the weights until it is overhead. Don't forget to use your legs to give that overhead push. Choose the weight that is challenging for you but don't hurt yourself. Do that clean and press about 10 to fifteen times. Your heart is going to pump. Your legs and arms are gonna get fatigued.
And if you prefer to jog... I have to tell you, for fat burning... variable sprinting is a much better way to kick your butt and burn body fat.
My challenge to you is this... throw the traditional cardio and aerobic exercises out the window for the next month or so... and try some circuit training with weights or even plan a sprinting workout.
I'm betting you will be so surprised how effective these exercises are for burning fat and making you stronger. You will notice that you are getting leaner and more toned and defined muscles. And your fat is literally, melting away...
Let's do it! Get stronger and fit for life... starting now!
Find out how you
