How To Get Perfect 6 Pack Abs
Let me ask you a simple question. If there was one body part that you would want to sculpt to perfection ready for the summer, what would it be? Now I'm going to take a rough guess here...six pack abs maybe? I personally don't know anybody who doesn't want to shrink their waistline, to be able to lose that stubborn, and excessive body fat, and develop a mind blowing set of rock-hard abs.
The Truth About 6 Pack Abs
But hold on a moment, before you can start getting that much sought after six-pack, you need to discover the truth about what it really takes to build a beach friendly abdominal section. You must first expose the lies and the myths. You have to re-program your hard drive and empty the rubbish you have been fed.
There is so much hyped up, misguided and irrelevant information out there, even among so called fitness gurus, you should be skeptical about all the abdominal training gizmo's and programs. Let us first cast aside the top four crimes of how not to get a six-pack.
6 Pack Abs - Myth #1 - Exercise Gizmo's
Learning how to get a perfect six pack does not require you to buy expensive equipment that is usually promoted through annoying shopping channels. These days you can't turn on the television without seeing these dreaded abdominal exercise gizmo's being promoted. There are just so many of them. I promise you now, that if you do get fooled into buying these ab workout gizmo's, you will become broke very quickly...period.
Myth #2 - Crunches
Learning how to get a rock hard six pack does not require you to do hundreds of crunches a day. Don't get me wrong crunches are decent exercise, but can be totally overused. It's a total myth that the more you do the better it will be for your results. Crunches are a general exercise, and the truth is general exercises usually get you general results. The truth is excessive floor crunches shorten the abdominal wall, they pull your head forward, which can lead to a poor posture developing. They also involve a very low level of stimulation which neglects muscle fiber recruitment.
Myth #3 - Diets
Starvation diets basically do what they say on the tin, they starve your muscle when instead they should be feeding it. Take a rough guess what really happens when you starve your body? Well allow me to fill you in, your metabolism shuts down, and your bodies natural survival strategy kicks in and causes your body to store fat. Your body must get energy from somewhere so guess what gets sacrificed? That's right, your muscles, which is in fact are responsible for maintaining a high metabolism. So starve your muscle, oh yeah, great logic whoever thought of that one!
Myth #4 - Fat Burning Pills
Let me ask you another question...what exactly did the last weight loss pill you bought do for you? Be honest. Well here's another rough guess of mine, but probably the same thing as the next one is going to do, nothing. The only pounds you will lose are going to come out of your wallet.
You see, the concept of taking pills to burn excessive body fat is built on a rather weak foundation, and in my experience misleading, because diet pills only treat the symptoms and not the root cause. The problems of why you have a flabby mid-section, is usually down to lifestyle, so unless you change your diet, lifestyle and get proper training, you are just end up where you started again, and that is, further away from your goal of having a six-pack.
