Great Skin Care Practices
There are tons and tons of articles about taking care of your skin, looking younger, getting rid of wrinkles, etc, etc, etc. However, there seems to be a common thread amongst all of these tips and how to's. It's prevention. Protect your skin now so you won't have to fix it later. Here are some of most common and effective prevention methods I have found.
1. Drink water-lots and lots of water. Your body is 75% water and everything within your body seems to work better when it is properly hydrated. Most people on average should be drinking at a minimum 6-8 glasses of water every day. Water also helps flush the body of impurities and will help maintain your skin looking and working its best.
2. Know your skin-everybody's skin is different. Different tone, different reaction to the environment, different oil makeup. Don't do things to your skin that you know it can't handle. Take the extra time now to protect it and will last in the long run.
3. Keep it clean-dirt infiltrates pores and doesn't allow the skin to breathe. Same with extended periods of wearing makeup. Take the time to really keep your skin clean and the paybacks will be great.
4. Protect it from the sun-damaging rays from the sun are very hard on your skin. When you know you are going to be out in the sun, always wear at least a 15 or 30 SPF for protection. By knowing your skin you should adjust the type of sunscreen because everyone's skin reacts differently to the sunlight.
Take the time now to practice these simple things and your skin will look and feel great for years to come. For more great information about skin care practices and tips, visit http://www.elizabethskincare.com.
