Who Is a Good Candidate For Mesotherapy? Non Surgical Procedure To Reduce Fat Cellulite

A non surgical procedure to reduce fat and cellulite in patients by using a combination of medicines and injecting them is mesotherapy. Though a majority of people can go in for mesotherapy, pregnant or lactating ladies, those who take blood thinning medicines, those who are heart patients or diabetic or have illnesses like cancer cannot try the treatments. Ideal patients should be between the ages of eighteen and seventy-five, be in good health and should have no history of strokes or blood clots.

Before undergoing mesotherapy, the doctor will have to know the family history, and all medical histories of the patient. Genetics plays a big part in the selection of medicines for use in mesotherapy. Different medicines are used for men and different ones for women. Also the type of fat to be reduced is also considered before performing the procedure. The age of the person to be treated is also important. The doctor will take this into consideration before injecting the medicines. He will perform a skin test to see if there is any allergy or any problem before he begins the series of medication.

The medicines are injected into the second layer of the skin at places that need to be improved. If the double chin is to be improved, the injections are given there. Fat deposits from arms, thighs, waist hips and other places are the ones which can be removed by mesotherapy. The procedure may take about half an hour. Once the injections are given, the patient can resume whatever work he was doing. He is advised to exercise so that the medication can be circulated and his blood circulation is working fine. He is told to have a healthy diet and to drink a lot of water. This is to flush away the dead fat cells which get accumulated in the system.

Each doctor will have his own views on what is good for the patient. He will take into consideration the physical history and the medical history before prescribing the medicines.

It hardly has any side effects. Besides slight bruising due to the injections, there is not much of any type of side effect. The procedure has to be repeated a couple of weeks later and there have to be at least ten sittings before the results are fully noticeable. They are permanent results unless fresh fat cells are formed.
