Acne and Stress
Every corner in life there always seems to be a stressful event. Whether you are getting ready to start a new year in school or taking the final tests that decides a years worth of work, marriage, job interviews, or health issues there are many different stressing factors. Stress can become highly evident through your skin, and show in your body's health. These factors include weight loss, hair loss, weight gain, and most importantly acne and acne lesions.
Stress is considered one of the top leading factors that causes acne. There are other promoting factors like genetics, hormones, picking and squeezing lesions etc, but all of these things may be stress related. For example, when you are getting ready to start your menstrual cycle your body starts to stress due to an over production of hormones named estrogen. These over productions cause you to PMS and cause your body to over produce a substance named sebum.
Sebum is a biologically produced liquid that is formed inside the sebaceous gland and hair follicle. When your body is at a healthy balanced level and not over stressing then your skin makes a normal amount of sebum, as you stress your body goes into hyper mode and begins to over produce this lipid full liquid.
Also, hormones like testosterone for men and estrogen for women force the hair follicles to secrete more hair and more sebum oil.
Some Stress Factors include:
Job stress- Working at a construction site wearing heavy belts or buckles that rub on the skin causing your skin to over stress, also hard hats. Working as a cook over the head and greasy toxin ambience makes your skin to stress.
Subliminal stress- This is usually related to adult stress, where the person is unconsciously stressed out but doesn't realize so, this could need psychiatric assistance as well as a skin treatment.
Hormonal stress- Women suffer this stress though out their life times, once a month at least due to menstrual period, or during a pregnancy. Often time's women develop acne after they go through metaphase too due to depletion of hormones. Men suffer some hormonal changes but this is commonly just during adolescence.
P.C. Skin- Stress or trauma caused from positive charged electromagnetic waves emanating from a computer for as much as 8 hours a day. This condition usually results in acne rosacea.
Teenage peer pressure- This may be considered the worst stress of all, the stress of growing up and becoming a teenage/adult. During the learning years this can set psychological patterns that can reappear in later years.
There is no cure for stress, unless you are on massive amount of tranquilizers, which any person can not function on. But there are cures for acne. When the appropriate treatment is applied on a daily basis a person suffering from these different stress factors may notice clear skin during a time of constant worries.
Avoid the consequences of aging and several skin conditions using a new skin care solution made only with biological ingredients.
