Learn to Build a Computer in an Afternoon, and Get the PC You Want

There"s no computer sold in a store that"s as good as one you can make yourself. And if you"ve never built a computer before, you can learn by doing.

If you want the perfect computer for a certain task, like 3-D drawing, gaming, or to help you run your business, you"ll probably find the offerings at your local electronics store to be lacking. Either the hard drive will be too small, the chip too slow, or something else will just be wrong.

Your past experiences with big name PC"s may not have been good ones. Some manufacturers have resorted to the old trick of "taking the gold out of the product". Meaning they made the unit cheaper by using lower quality parts. That"s why so many people make their living repairing computers.

Your job demands a computer made with exactly the right parts, the right motherboard, CPU, graphics card, everything. Each has to be the highest quality, so you can count on it.

There are two ways to do that. Hire it done, at often outrageous expense, or do it yourself.

With a simple, straightforward instruction book, and one afternoon, you can build a computer. Some folks think that building a PC requires knowledge of the inner workings of every part in the machine. It doesn"t. All it requires is some basic assembly information. You get that from the book. You"ll need no fancy tools, just a Phillips screwdriver, and you"ll only use that a few times. Most of the parts plug-in, or snap together.

It"s simple. Why not get the computer you really want. One you made yourself.
