Marketing Strategies - Kickstart a Pre-Market Presentation For Coming Events
Kicking off a marketing project for your next project? Here are the first three steps you can take to get that project off to a busy selling season.
Get started with the marketing process using pre-publication sales strategies. You can get instant publication results from your project, if you've set it up right and programmed the process to market your business with relevant ads and tools. These three suggestions will help you get started with a kick-off that sets the tone of the next marketing project.
1. Pre-Publication Temptations
This can be done even before your book is completed. Once you have a good idea what your book will be about, start teasing your audience (you do have an audience, I hope) with little tempters, telling them you've got a secret project on the counter, working quickly toward a finished product. Entice them in for the kill.
You can actually have a contest, or invite them to participate in a Name this Project promotion to get the project off the ground (give the winner of the contest a FREE finished copy).
2. Gifting Promotions
Give away a sample of your book. This can be a basic article with minimal information on the concepts of your book, with links to the sales page for your whole book. Or it can be an actual book you give away to someone you know will talk your book up and promote it, increasing your sales of more books.
Gift promotions are a good thing and they work well with people who write reviews for your book.
3. Mini- or Micro- Reports
These offer reasons to buy your book, often constituting a sort of sales page that gives the reader information they will find in your book, occasionally in more vivid detail than they might get it in your book. But not so much of it. For instance, detail about how to create a sales page, if your book mentions they need a sales page. Or perhaps if you're writing about menu planning, perhaps this report will give your reader a single meal menu with planning and preparation tips.
