Do You Hate Marketing Yourself?

None of us went into our professions because we were interested in businesses, marketing or the internet. We began doing what we love because of our passion for it, and for the service it provides to the people we care about.

I hear people being very frustrated though..."why am I not more successful," "why is my business not doing better?"

Well, part of the reason for that is we've spent so much time educating ourselves to become great therapists, excellent personal trainers, soulful interior designers, amazing publicists etc.

We've truly LEARNED how to be great at what we do because this is what we love, this is what we are good at--helping people change their lives.

There is an expectation within most of us that we're good at what we do and people are just going to show up for it. That's unfortunately not true. We are all responsible for finding the people out there who need our services.

Unfortunately, we can't give what we don't have. When we're not being financially supported and when our needs aren't being met, we can't give to our clients in a way they need us to be able to give.

Now that we've gotten the degrees, taken the classes, gone to the seminars for our professions, it's time for us to study business & marketing so we can effectively market all our years of experience.

For those of us that cringe when we hear that, it's crucial we begin to understand that taking this journey will develop us in a way that no seminar could--our fears and limited thoughts will actually diminish and any sense of lack we might have had will disappear and bring our best self forth...and we'll become even better at what we do.
