Mindset Mentoring
Advantage Conference is a series of motivational self-help seminars offered to current and prospective business owners. They offer a service called Mindset Mentoring, an ongoing service, which is said to include training and programs that are offered and mentored by profitable millionaires.
There is a website devoted to weekly updates, and a published newsletter as well. Advantage Conference speaks from a Christian motivated standpoint. A lot of the conferences seem to focus a lot more on the personal and spiritual than anything else.
And this conference isn't cheap. It's three thousand dollars for the weekend. One person who had attended was later quoted as saying " I could have gotten the same information, at a much cheaper price, simply by watching the Hour of Power with Robert Schuller or reading a Norman Vincent Peale book, and it would have been a lot cheaper."
Advantage Conference has a mixed reputation in the world of business, although there are some people who claim that this is a great program with a good follow through service, there are others who claim that they received none of what they were promised.
Furthermore these same people also say that Advantage Conference reneged on a money back guarantee that was originally offered in their program and then later removed when too many people asked for it. Advantage Conference's business concept seems to center around the idea that anyone can make money giving motivational speeches.
People who attend the conference are offered the chance to become Representatives, who after more training, become speakers at their own conferences, selling the concept to yet others that there is money to be made here. But it seems to me that this is an empty promise.
There is no actual product, unless you count the motivational speeches and the mentoring service which just sounds to me like more of the same.
So if you are willing to pay three thousand to attend an Advantage Conference, plus another seven thousand to become an Advantage Representative, and make money passing this along to others, then this is the program for you.
But most people trying to make money in this business cannot afford to throw away ten thousand dollars for training and speeches no matter how motivational they are. Advantage Conference does not discriminate on the basis of whether or not you can afford their program, easy payment terms are available.
It has been said by other sources that this company is less than scrupulous when it comes to the low and middle class income people of this country.
"They are willing to take anyone's money, for a product they know to be absolutely worthless."
Personally I have found that this program does not come with much else to merit it. Other critics claim that the conferences are not well run, the representatives seem largely untrained, and the actual amount of usable information compared to the largely common and heavily borrowed from motivational material.
I would not recommend this course unless it was to someone like Oral Roberts or Ross Perot. Maybe Donald Trump. This is a rich man's program. Not for people like me.
