Flower Tattoo Designs

Of the nature style of tattoos by far the most popular are flower tattoos with rose tattoos being one of the top.

From a symbolic standpoint, flower tattoos are remarkably flexible in their meaning, allowing the wearer to decide on its significance to them. Rose tattoos can be either be romantic or dark and sinister in nature, depending on the tattoo artist.

Flowers grow all around the world for all of us to see and it is no wonder that flower tattoo designs have been worn for nearly as long as the art of tattoo has been in existence. The world has always had a fascination with floral designs has been evident in tattoo designs for years.

The Lotus Flower and the Water Lily have been symbolic and important in the East and the rose in the West, with the Lotus and the rose being the two most powerful of the entire flower tattoos. The lotus has figured prominently in the Creation of Myths in Indian and China culture, Buddha is said to have risen from the center of a Lotus Blossom.

Hawaiian flower tattoo designs are a very popular tradition with tattoos. Most women natives to Hawaii will have a flower tattoo and the most popular of these is the Hibiscus flower tattoo. A very striking red or yellow flower with a few petals surrounded by a middle seed. This tattoo design is nearly as popular as the rose tattoo design.

You will not see many guys with flower tattoos because they will go for a more tribal design of some sort. Other flower tattoos are the Daffodil. As far as flowers go, daffodils as well have come to take on several different meanings. Deceitfulness, hope, unrequited love, and also regard.
