         <title>Laugh Lines - Comedy Genre Poetry Forms - PART 1 - Nutty Nonsense</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-05-04-55-02-609.html</link>
<description> Whether you&#039;ve got them, in denial about them, or way too young to care about them, I&#039;m not talking about those crinkly crow&#039;s feet that grow around your eyes, or the grooves around your mouth. While laughter may be the cause of those lines, we really will be talking about various poetry forms that start snickers: those that fall into the comedy genre. The forms I will talk about first are sometimes equated with nonsense poetry. In fact, many are used when creating poetry for children. While creating depth is essential in all poetry, it must go to the back of the line and allow meter, music, and rhythm be at the head of the class for these poetry forms.

While laughter may be the cause of those lines,  we really will be talking about various poetry forms that start snickers: those that fall into the comedy genre. The forms I will talk about in this second installment are sometimes used like fist,  sometimes like a slap,  but no matter the force with which you wield your comedic poetry - try to whip with your wit and not your anger;

<title>The Fantastic Ekphrastic - What it is and When You re Using It</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-04-14-55-02-583.html</link>
<description> A cool breeze lifts my hair for a moment, cooling the back of my neck as I enter the museum. Echoing whispers blend into one another, and wrap around Venus de Milo&#039;s ankles. As I walk down the corridor, each picture is like a window into another world. Some worlds are familiar, some are bizarre. Each holds some form of inspiration. Use this inspiration to create ekphrastic poetry. I first heard of ekphrastic poetry recently. I was looking over contest categories and one listed this type of poetry as the topic.

         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-04-12-55-02-912.html</link>
<description> Here is a poem I wrote that includes a collection of abstract memories from a beautiful time in my life. It is a reflection of some of my hopes, dreams, and wonders. It is about a place I felt that I once was, and also a place that I wished to be. You may think it sounds idealistic, but if you are interested in poetic fantasy, then you might realize that this is truly straight from my heart. Of course this poem is imagined, and parts of it are about places that really do exist in the physical world.

         <title>Night Flight - Why I Do It</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-04-10-25-02-434.html</link>
<description> Sometimes, a man has to go to his special place to meditate and recover from the shock of human societal exposure. Being in that special place helps me to get a new perspective on life and my life. Now I can tell you a little about that place, and maybe some of you will find it too. Read on and see if you&#039;ve been there before. This is called NIGHT FLIGHT. Motoring along in an evening sky Looking at jewels of cities pass by I love their cold beauty as seen from above but it&#039;s only their image, not their presence I love.

         <title>Online Poetry Journals - Submitting Your Work</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-04-07-55-02-734.html</link>
<description> Writing for online poetry journals will not get you rich, but it will bring you personal satisfaction and can help your writing career. As the price of paper and gas go up, many periodicals are choosing to go in part or entirely online. There are many e-zines of high literary quality and a wide-reaching audience that traditional paper magazines or journals just can&#039;t reach. Competition Is Fierce Although many online poetry journals do not pay any contributors, these e-zines are still swamped with submissions, leading to many rejections.

<title>Sun, Sand and Her Smile - A Brief Fantasy Unveiled</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-04-04-35-03-676.html</link>
<description> Who knows why these things happen. I met her at a store where I was doing some renovations. One day I had to pass by her to get to my work, but she stood in my way. She held out her hand and when she opened it, there was a Hershey&#039;s Kiss. At first I was confused. Then, I understood that this beautiful woman was offering a simple gift of kindness that melted my gruff professional exterior. I knew that I should take the offering and I did. She became a wonderful friend and later on I wrote this about her.

         <title>Know Pain - No Pain</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-03-08-05-02-209.html</link>
<description> You&#039;d pull your foot out of a hot bathtub, and everybody pulls their hand away from a hot flame. Right? That&#039;s pain working to protect you. You have to change and change quickly to keep from scalding yourself or burning yourself. The same thinking must be applied to headaches, back aches, shoulder aches, hip aches and neck aches. Pain is a warning. Even if it has progressed to a cancerous pain. Perfect pain management is knowing what the cause of pain is and changing. In the poem below it states and I believe that when you give your body food and air and water fit to build its every member then no longer will pain be needed.

         <title>Sexuality an Act of Virtue</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-03-05-30-02-185.html</link>
<description> Sexuality be it the act of bodies Celestial to their beholder Colliding in an intrusion With lustful intentions To give rise to all Senses Be they of the flesh Or the spirit that inhabit within Sexuality be it an act of maturity In both genders that maketh Eye begin to seek out beauty Within its opposite While minds expand Beyond confines of gravity To levity that surges beyond clouds Making inclusive all that childhood Repelled with its ways that knew not To treasure that of the highest value Sexuality be it an act of development For the feminine gender Causing the growth of mounds Where there none were And tresses of many a superior redden To cover what which was barren In what composes all that be femininity Sexuality may it be as is The act of deliverance Of the seed of what be Prolongation to species Of humanity for when deprived Of this exchange those that be Would end to come no more Sexuality may it be all But if one exceeding rest May sexuality yield to virtue&#039;s ascend Fore does it not lift the mind To where earthy matter be alien Sexuality may it be To the deities that which they seize With most envy of their created ones For motivated by trepidation Of possessing the flesh Which may wither they deprive themselves of The only bona fide harmony that be acknowledged Sexuality may it be That which Gods condemn And attempt to soil Fore in all their supremacy This is be unattainable to those Who live eternally .

         <title>40 Descriptions of Faith</title>
         <link>http://www.articlebin.info/arts-and-entertainment/poetry/news_2008-10-02-12-15-02-674.html</link>
<description> Faith For centuries many have mused and created literary works and art to describe faith. These below are but a mere portion of the concepts of faith. Faith is: 1. Listening to that little voice inside us -- our conscience -- and doing what it says. 2. A feeling of assurance even when nothing assuring is seen. 3. Exercising tolerance when we would rather not. 4. An expression of, and a necessary ingredient of, courage. 5. A key input to the diligence -- the dutiful show faith. 6. Patiently waiting when we&#039;d prefer to be satisfied now.
