A Word Fitly Spoken
Our minds are plagued daily with negative affirmations and old ways of thinking that try to keep all of us from crossing over to the other side, Whatever your other side is in life, we all need a daily boost of strength, power, and inspiration. These traits are concealed in the spoken word. A good spoken word that is.
"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pitchers of silver" Proverbs 25:11
Over the years I've written a lot of poetry, but just recently I've started a collection of verse and rhythmic poetry. I first started writing for my own self-inspiration and motivation. As I began to read them daily something interesting began to happen. Every time a negative thought would try and surface itself in the atmosphere of my mind, it was totally disintegrated immediately.
The reason why was because the daily reading of these poems began to get inside allowing the negative no entry. If it can't enter and settle there it will never have any power over you. Imagine, to be able to go after your dreams without fighting off your negative thoughts of not succeeding. That's half the battle! Enjoy and Read my free inspirational poems!

guard yourself
there are people in this world that will try and steal your joy
to interupt the peace you have
to disturb and to annoy
one reason is these people
are empty and so vain
using harshness, stress, and manipulation
to conquer and to obtain
but don't give them any credit
don't give them room or any space
to try to bring you down
and take the smile up off your face
deny their every right to control
with bulliness and puppet string
drowning out the melody
of the song you like to sing
this character trait is ruthless
it's a sickness and disease
but it doesn't have to affect you
you can put your mind at ease
for they will have a rude awakening
using people at their expense
one day they'll find their outcome
will be an evil recompense
it doesn't take a brilliant person
to tear a human being apart
but to treat people with respect
takes a brain and takes a heart
so guard yourself, my friend
keep the spirit that you desire
don't let no one try and place you
in a pit of muck and mire.
