Semi-nude women wearing a lot of make up posing on the beach revealing the secluded body parts to the camera is something which comes in my mind with the accordance to the glamour photography. Glamour doesn't mean all about women, men are also a part of this kind of photography, but most of the times glamour and women stand along each other.
Glamour photography is not something originated within some days or years; it must have taken decades to blossom facing the cruelties of different societies in different times. Americans were the first to initiate this kind of photography and they should be credited for keeping it alive in all circumstances.
This kind of photography is now a billion dollars industry because it has also plunged in the advertising field. The studios are now more equipped and have professional teams of people who turn the ordinary faces into extraordinary beauties. Fashion photographers have started creating seemingly mysterious and elusive fascination of bewitching charm by presenting the models in their photos.
Glamour photography belongs to west but they are trying to transmit it into different parts of world. They have been successful enough in transferring glamorous photography to South East Asia, Australia, East Asia and in South Asia but still they are facing strong resentment in various countries. Indian glamour photograph industry is blooming rapidly and from there the art is being transferred to Pakistan.
Everyday we see a sudden change in our fashion industry after the inclusion of glamour photography. There was a time when we used to have short list of female models and the families here did not want her girls to work as a model. But now after the revolution in the industry has come we are witnessing a complete different scenario.
Photography and glamour photography is now being taught everywhere in fashion schools. We have big names in glamorous photography like Tapu Javeri, Atar Shehzad,Khawar Riaz etc. But the trend of glamorous photography prevails in urban areas of countries and there is still a strong antipathy exists in rural areas of country.
Glamorous photography is an art and it has the right to exist but in a country like ours we have to put the art under certain boundaries, because we cannot afford the conflict in our society. Media gurus, artists and photographers have a potent role to play in order to keep the glamour photography alive in the country.
